About BoneForte

Why BoneForte? 

We are specializing in bone health with an eye toward preventing debilitating fractures, especially hips and spines, that can reduce overall quality of life and are expensive to repair. 

To prevent fractures or damage, you need information about what is going on inside the body. How can anyone be sure the dietary, exercise, and other treatments the patient is pursuing are working? The traditional method requires exposure to radiation in the form of x-ray technology. While generally not considered dangerous, routine exposure as an annual monitoring tool seems unnecessarily risky. 

An ultrasound assessment can also determine bone quality independent of density. This provides two measures to monitor and predict bone health 

Europe, and especially Italy, is shifting to an ultrasound testing method called REMS. The firm Echolight has developed diagnostic equipment that fits in a suitcase. It's transportable and reliable, making critical bone health information more accessible. 

We are excited to help providers, patients, and employers find access to this new technology and partner with them to prevent fractures.

Our Mission

Having a medical doctor and medically trained team available to consult and interpret your scans is vital to making the most of this improved information.

Our Story

BoneForte was founded in 2022 by Dr. Andy Bush, a leading bone health researcher. He partnered with Dr. Susan Jones and others to expand the accessibility of Dr. Jones' ultrasound diagnostic tool for bone health- BoneSound.

After decades of studying osteoporosis and fracture prevention, Dr. Jones was frustrated by the lack of options for proactive bone health monitoring outside of costly DXA scans. She knew there had to be a better way. Drawing on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology, Dr. Jones led a team of engineers to develop our proprietary BoneSound® device. BoneSound uses sound waves to measure bone density and quality quickly, safely, and affordably from the comfort of home.

In 2022, BoneForte introduced the first OsteoSound device to empower people to take control of their bone health. Today, we continue innovating new ways to keep bones strong and prevent fractures before they happen.
