REMS densitometry is changing the bone heath landscape. REMS is a newer method of performing standard densitometry which also offers the additional benefit of assessing microstructural properties of bone referred to as bone quality. The REMS bone quality assessment referred to as the Fragility Score provides the most accurate method currently available to assess fracture risk. The BoneForte Story
BoneForte was founded in 2022 by Dr. Andy Bush, a leading bone health researcher. He partnered with Dr. Susan Jones and others to expand the accessibility of Dr. Jones' ultrasound diagnostic tool for bone health: BoneSound.
After decades of studying osteoporosis and fracture prevention, Dr. Jones was frustrated by the lack of options for proactive bone health monitoring outside of costly DXA scans. She knew there had to be a better way. Drawing on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology, Dr. Jones led a team of engineers to develop the proprietary BoneSound® device. BoneSound uses sound waves to measure bone density and quality quickly, safely, and affordably from the comfort of home.
Dr. Bush's orthopedic surgery practice (CCOA) introduced the first OsteoSound device to empower people to take control of their bone health. In 2024, the name BoneForte was coined to represent the strength that REMS technology provides. Dr. Bush partnered with our software development firm to usher CCOA into the technological future of data access. Rebranded as Bone Evaluations by OOCA,
Dr. Bush continues to take an active role in BoneForte with REMS scanning appointments and mobile clinics across the country. Other REMS providers are joining the

Dr. Andy Bush had the honor of being a speaker at the recent ACAM (American College for Advancement in Medicine) meeting in Dallas, Texas, where he presented on the topic of bone health assessment featuring the use of REMS technology.
ACAM is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating physicians and other healthcare professionals on the safe and effective application of integrative medicine, focused on the prevention of illness and a strive for total wellness. ACAM is the voice of integrative medicine in patient care.
